Fraser finds her idea absurd but Motibai lies to him that she plans to kill Gangadhar Rao in the play. Motibai also invites Manu for the event. Later in the day, Indu applies henna on Gangadhar Raos hand and insists that she will write Manus entire name on his hand. Motibai witnesses the incident and falls on the king, thereby wiping away Manikarnikas name from his hand. Manu, who witnesses the entire scene, is worried.
